Marine Trade School Scholarships
This annual scholarship is designed exclusively for marine trade schools that have a marine electronics component to their curriculum. The scholarship encourages and supports students interested in a career in marine electronics. The goal is to alleviate the marine electronics industry worker shortage through education of students to become technical installers of marine electronics and increase the number of qualified new employees for NMEA member companies. Scholarships will be awarded to students who aspire to enter into the exciting career of marine electronics.

Scholarship Program Application Details
- All applications must be submitted by July 15, 2025.
- The IMEA Board of Directors will review and award scholarships by July 31, 2025
- All applicants must fill out the IMEA / NMEA Scholarship form.
- Funds will be sent to scholarship winners by August 31, 2025 in time for the start of the Fall semester
- Any member of the general public can apply for this scholarship.
- Additional information may be requested after application has been reviewed.
- $5,000 tuition payment made directly to applying student’s trade school to offset tuition costs.
- NMEA Basic MEI training Certification class.
- NMEA 2000 Basic Installer Training Certification class.
