The International Marine Electronics Alliance (IMEA), a 501 (c)(3) supporting organization of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), is proud to honor the Peter Braffitt Scholarship to NMEA installing dealer and trade member companies. Peter was an industry icon who passed away suddenly in 2022. Peters focus was supporting NMEA dealers and installers, and his scholarship aims to “reduce the risk of investment” in training by a NMEA member company, if the specific employee were to leave the company in the future. Pete’s scholarship also includes travel reimbursement up to $1000 for awardee to travel to an NMEA in person training event.
All applications must be submitted by February 14, 2025. The IMEA Board of Directors will review and award scholarships by March 1, 2025. |
There are 2 different scholarships which allows NMEA dealer and trade member companies to apply a junior employee/new hire with minimal experience, or a senior/long time employee with years of experience.
